Adawix ("we," "us," or "our") operates adawix.com and provides free, browser-based digital tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with: the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation 2016/679), Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 (PDPL), and applicable cookie and ePrivacy regulations.

2. Core Principle — Local File Processing

All tools on Adawix process your data entirely within your web browser. No file content, document data, or user-generated information is transmitted to or stored on Adawix servers or any third-party server. When you close the page, all processed data is permanently deleted from your device's memory. Adawix never sees, accesses, or retains your files.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Analytics Data (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregated, anonymized data about how visitors use our site. GA4 collects:

• IP address (automatically anonymized before storage; only the first two octets are retained, e.g., 192.168.x.x)
• Device and browser information (type, version, operating system, screen resolution)
• Session data (pages visited, navigation sequence, time spent)
• General geographic location (country/city, derived from anonymized IP — not precise location)
• Referral source (how you arrived at Adawix)

This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you individually. It is processed by Google LLC under Google's Data Processing Amendment.

Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding site usage and improving our services. Where consent is required (e.g., EU/EEA visitors), data is only collected after you accept analytics cookies.

Retention: Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, then automatically and permanently deleted.

3.2 Advertising Data (Google AdSense)

We display advertisements via Google AdSense. With your consent, Google may:

• Set advertising cookies on your device
• Collect data about your interactions with ads (impressions, clicks)
• Use device identifiers and browsing signals to serve personalized advertisements

Without your consent, only non-personalized ads are displayed and no advertising cookies are set.

8. International Data Transfers

Google Analytics and AdSense data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries. Google LLC maintains Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as safeguards for such transfers under Article 46 GDPR.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold. Since we do not store your file data or personally identifiable information on our servers, the primary security risk is associated with third-party services (Google Analytics, AdSense), which maintain their own security programs.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. For material changes, we will:

1. Display a prominent notice banner on the site for at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
2. Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
